The Bay Gets Its Voice
Radio BOP was born out of the community radio movement of the 1980s, giving the Bay of Plenty its own local voice — celebrating the music, the people, and the place.
Growing the Bay
Through the 1990s Radio BOP became the soundtrack of the Bay of Plenty, broadcasting from Tauranga and Mt Maunganui to communities across the region on 105.4 FM.
The Bay's Station
Radio BOP cemented its identity as "The Bay's Station — The Music, The People, The Place", building deep roots in the Tauranga community and beyond.
Digital & Online
Radio BOP embraced digital broadcasting, streaming online and reaching Bay of Plenty expats and listeners across Aotearoa and the world.
